Extra services

Finishing the Belgian Mountainbike Challenge (BeMC) is something you can be proud of and to do this you need to be in good shape and have some technique on the bike, but thanks to some special (optional) services you can make it a little bit easier on yourself.

Massage service

Nothing better to get to the start with fresh legs than a good sport massage in the evening after the stage. During BeMC we have a number of qualified sport physicians at your disposal.

How does it work?

– You can order the Massage Service as an option during online registration

– After you arrive you can pick a time slot that suits you best (massages start at 15h)

– At the agreed time you come to the massage room (don’t forget to bring a towel)

– Each massage takes half an hour

– You can also get medical taping there

Three massages of each 30 minutes (on Thursday, Friday and Saturday) : 65 € when you book in advance.

On the spot : 25 € for 30 minutes (cash or card).

Medical taping : 5 € per meter.

Drinking bottle service

Do you want to loose as little time as possible at the feedstations during the Belgian Mountainbike Challenge? Do you prefer to use your own brand of sportdrinks? Don’t you have a soigneur to hand you bottles during the race? Than use the drinking bottle service the organisation offers!

How does it work?

– Every day, as from 3 hours before the start, you can drop off your own drinking bottles (marked with your race number) in a special box under the tent close to the podium. There is one box per feedstation? Bottles can be handed until the time mentioned in the roadbook and on the spot (depending on the feedstation).

– The organisation will transport your bottles to the feedstation(s) of your choice and will place them on a special, separate table (sorted by race number).

– You can leave your empty bottles at the feedstation (NEVER throw them away during the race).

– After the race, you can pick up the empty and not used bottles at the finish.

This service is offered for FREE to all participants!

Please only take your own bottles. Any rider caught taking someone else’s bottle will be fined with a minimal time penalty of 15 minutes.

Mechanical service

Specialized is again the official Tech Partner of the BeMC. They will perform before, during and after the stages small and big repairs.

How does it work?

You can come to the Specialized tent close to the finish before and after every stage for all kind of repairs. Spare parts are available, but please bring bike specific parts such as derailer hangers, spokes and brake pads with you yourself.

This service is offered for FREE to all participants! For big, time consuming repairs a small fee may be applicable. Spare parts are charged at cost.

Bike service

Do you prefer using the time between stages for resting instead of fixing and cleaning your bike? Or do you simply don’t like cleaning bikes? Than we have, in coöperation with Eric Van Sande, the ultimate solution for you! The new Bike Service allows you to do nothing but ride your bike. You can leave the maintenance to professionals.

How does it work?

– You can order the Bike Service as an option during online registration

– straight after your arrival, you can hand your bike over to the service post near finish.

– Your bike will be taken care of by a professional:

  • your bike gets fully cleaned
  • a visuals control will be performed to look for problems (wear down brake pads, bad chain, bad sprocket, etc…)
  • the full drivechain will be dried and lubricated

– In just 15 to 20 minutes your bike will be ready to pick up. If we notice something wrong, you will of course be informed and you can go to Specialized to get it fixed.

Four full services (on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) : 55 €
